Georgia police are currently investigating accusations that Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was engaged in a sexual assault.

The Carolina Panthers today released quarterback Jake Delhomme from his contract, freeing up a bit of the teams bloated salary cap. The move comes just one year after Delhomme received a contract extension, a move that will leave the Panthers with $13 million in salary for the quarterback.
