I used to love my Toshiba Satellite notebook, but lately we haven’t been hearing much from the company, today that changed however when Toshiba UK has outed the U500-1EX, a 13.3″ multi-touch based addition to the Satellite family.

Ideum has released some impressive multi-touch displays in the past, but they pale in comparison to the companies new ultra-wide touchscreen surface. Said to be one of the “largest contiguous multitouch tables ever developed” it definitely has us impressed.

The Acer T230H debuted on Wednesday and was shown off by the team at Engadget Korea.  The 23 inch monitor not only offers an 80,000:1 contrast ratio, it also features multi-touch capabilities and a host of connectivity features.
