After nearly two years of financial  losses and other setbacks, the Boeing 787 Dreamliner made its maiden voyage over Washington today, taking off from Paine Field in Everett, Washington, then ending with a smooth landing, a fact that is expected to renew investor confidence in the company.

The US Navy set off today from the New York harbour with their newest battleship, the USS New York, a ship built from recycled steel taken from the Twin Tower collapse in 2001.
