HTC Click May Be A Cheap Android Phone, But It Doesn't Known That

htc_click_leaked_video

Android phones in an unlocked state will still cost you at least $500, while even their locked counterparts are still rather expensive. So when we heard about the HTC Click and it’s lower end (in terms of pricing) Android offering we were both skeptical and excited. Then we saw the thing on video and the skepticism quickly left us.

Dan Hesse Confirms 2009 Google Android Release On Sprint Network

dan_hesse_picture

When Android first debuted Sprint CEO Dan Hesse refused to jump at the opportunity to push the new mobile OS. He essentially said the Mobile operating system wasn’t ready for primetime and that Sprint would jump onboard when the time was right. That time now appears to be late 2009. Speaking at Fortune’s Brainstorm: Tech event in Pasadena on Friday Hesse stated: “The reviews say now it’s ready for prime time. It wasn’t when it first came out.”

HTC Magic Arriving At VodaFone Spain Today

htc-magic

At 5PM Spain Time the HTC Magic will go on sale to customers of Vodafone Spain, we’re told they will be ridiculously expensive but we won’t be surprised to see them selling for even more on eBay to customers who won’t be willing to wait 8 more days to get them at other retailers around the world.  If you’re in the UK wait until next week and you can pick one up for free, with a contract of course. Either way it sure does look nicer than the T-Mobile G1 and we’re assuming the Google Android OS will be further improved with this release. [Via Engadget Spanish]
