Rumors have been circulating that former Chicago Cub Sammy Sosa may have developed bleached skin after years of rampant steroid use during his MLB career. Whatever the cause may be, one thing is for certain, Sammy is looking very light skinned as of late.

The picture shown above was taken at a Las Vegas event last week and it revealed an odd looking “lighter version” of Sosa with skin pigmentation that is much askew from his baseball hey days.

We don’t know if it’s a case of rampant steroid use, plastic surgery gone awry or a case of skin bleaching, but either way it’s creepy.

Here’s a Sammy Sosa picture from the past to compare his new look to:

According to the Chicago Tribune, an acquaintance of Sosa claims that he’s “going through a rejuvenation process for his skin.” That same Sosa friend claims that the photos lighting also played a part in the lighter than normal appearance of his skin.

Whatever the case, it’s creepy.
