The MSI Wind12 U230  may be a netbook, but it features very “un-netbook” type features, including the AMD 1.6GHz Athlon Neo X2 dual-core processor and an ATI Radeon HD 3200 integrated graphics chipset. While also coming in with a 12.1″ display with 1366 x 768 pixels of resolution and Windows 7 for quick processing speeds.

Unfortunately the unit still starts with a standard, yet low 1GB RAM, however that option can be expanded with user configurable settings up to 4GB, while hard drive sizes range from 160GB to 320GB.

The Wind12 U230 also features an integrated 1.3MP webcam, Gigabit Ethernet and WiFi.  It also offers plenty of ports including three USB options, a VGA connection and an HDMI port.

For Bluetooth lovers that option is also available as an additional add-on feature, while the units 4 cell battery can be upgraded to 6 cells at an additional cost.

Sorry but there’s still no word on pricing or a street date for these units. Given the MSI track record we’ll probably see five or six dates bounce around before the netbook goes live.  [via Electronista]
