
Ideum has released some impressive multi-touch displays in the past, but they pale in comparison to the companies new ultra-wide touchscreen surface. Said to be one of the “largest contiguous multitouch tables ever developed” it definitely has us impressed.
The table features a 100-inch surface with 86 inches of viewable display. The display also features the companies optical touch recognition software which has previously been featured on their MT-50 display.
The display according to SlashGear can also “recognize over 50 different simultaneous touch points” while featuring 2304 x 800 pixels of resolution and an aspect ratio of 16:5.
The video below shows the companies GestureWorks framework based on their own SDK and Flash capabilities. Unfortunately no hardware specs have been revealed. Although we do know that it’s being shown off at the Space Chase Gallery exhibition at the Adventure Science Center in Nashville, Tennessee where it’s being used to show the EM Spectrum that occurs from radio waves to gamma rays.
