The Boston Redsox lost their fifth game in a row, but still managed to clinch their third straight division playoff spot.

In familiar territory the Redsox will once again face off against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, a theme for the two teams, as this is the third time in as many seasons that they’ll face off against one another in the ALDS and the 4th time in six seasons. The RedSox have won in each of those playoff berths.

This time the RedSox had some help from the Angels before the series was even set to begin, it was the Rangers loss to Anaheim that gave the RedSox the clinch. The first game of their playoff berth should begin on October 8th in Anaheim.

Last season the Redsox took the series in 4 games, including their first two on the road in Anaheim.
