The Palm Pre can now be picked up at Walmart for $79.99 with a 2 year Sprint Contract and a mail-in rebate. The new price announcement comes after Amazon announced their own $99 pricing for the WebOS based smartphone.
The deal didn’t surprise us considering the Palm Pixi could be offered for free after a short period of time (with a 2 year contract) and given the number of new devices about to be released via the Google Android Platform.
No official word yet on Pixi pricing or if this new Pre pricing will last, but we’ll keep you posted. [WalMart]
