Apricorn today announced their newest 1.8 inch external hard drive. The Apricorn Aegis Mini Line 1.8 Inch External Drive holds 240GB and is available in both USB 2.0 and FireWire connection options. The previous model offered 160GB and even with the memory increase the new version is still small enough to fit in your shirt pocket at about the same size as a deck of cards. This Aegis drive also features shock resistant mounting with the FireWire or USB 2.0 cables being integrated.
The drive also supports your choice of Operating Systems from Mac OS X to all major Windows OS platforms and even comes with a neoprene travel pouch and includes data-protection software.
You can pick up the USB 2.0 Model for a decent $270 or the Firewire version for $280. Purchase in March and you’ll be able to take advantage of a $25 mail-in-rebate. [Electronista via Apricorn]
