Sixx Sense with Nixxi Sixx will launch a nationally syndicated radio show on Premiere Radio Networks.
According to Market Watch.com the show will be on more than 30 Rock/Alternative radio stations in markets coast to coast — from Albany, N.Y., to San Francisco, Calif., and Portland, Ore., to Dallas, Texas. Originating from Premiere’s Los Angeles studios, Nikki Sixx and co-host Kerri Kasem, daughter of radio fixture Casey Kasem, will kick off their first week with scheduled appearances by Ozzy Osbourne and Dog the Bounty Hunter, among others.
In addition, The Side Show with Nikki Sixx, a weekend music-based entertainment program, will launch Feb. 13 and 14 on Rock/Alternative radio stations. Both programs are also available through streaming at www.SixxSense.com.
Sixx said to Entertainment Weekly.com about the type of interviewing he wants to do:
“A lot of shows just line up the idiots. It’s like a game: Who’s the most popular person behind the velvet rope this week? We need to bring in artists, and musicians, and brand new bands, and people from all over the world, and report back to the listener what’s going on.”
The former drugged-out drunken rocker is the co-founder/bassist/songwriter of Motley Crue and chart-topping band Sixx:A.M. He has sobered up and been working hard as producer, clothing designer, philanthropist, best-selling author and photographer. [USA Today]
