4-star defensive end commit J.C. Copeland has long been ready to jump over to Tennessee for his college playing days, now we’ve learned that the all-star high schooler has changed his mind and signed with the LSU Tigers.
The jump puts a damper on the great job Coach Dooley has been doing at Tennessee with their recruiting class and will no doubt hurt the Volunteers come the start of the new season.
On the other hand, ESPN believes the move will help LSU restock their defensive line by turning Copeland into a likely defensive tackle at the college level. It’s also a bit of payback for the Tigers who lost safety Janzen to the Vols one year ago on signing day. [ESPN]
